Perfect Health Diet by The Jaminets

I just finished the excellent book Perfect Health Diet: Regain Health and Lose Weight by Eating the Way You Were Meant to Eat by Paul Jaminet and Shou-Ching Shih Jaminet, a team of Ph.D. scientists who are husband and wife.

If you’d asked me in early 2012 what is the best diet book, I would have said their book Perfect Health Diet. In December 2012, they published a significant update that is even more perfectly perfect! The new edition is 50% longer and other material is revised.

They also have a fantastic blog I follow. The book assembles a lot of what they blog about in one place.

She is a molecular biologist and cancer researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, and he was an astrophysicist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. As someone who appreciates scientific detail and the back story, I find their well-researched book and blog very useful.
