if he so desires,
become the sculptor
of his own brain.”

Changing our brains is within the power of everyone.

What is BrainChanging™?

BrainChanging™ is applied neuroplasticity. In fact, the word BrainChanging™ is derived from the word neuroplasticity. “Neuro” refers to the brain. “Plasticity” refers to changeable or changing.

Until recently, science’s viewed the brain as mostly static: after a certain age, usually adolescence, the majority of your brain function was “locked in” — fixed and unchangeable for the rest of your life. This view was wrong.

In recent decades, new research in the field of neuroscience has given us a much more hopeful and exciting model: The brain not only changes throughout an entire lifetime, it is designed to change! Whether you are aware of it or not, your brain, and thus you as a whole, change constantly.

BrainChanging™ is an active process. Our brain is designed to keep learning. We should retain that childlike. We can decide to stay young. BrainChanging™ can’t stop you from getting older, because the years go past. What BrainChanging™ can do is give your more vitality because it allows you to decide every day to have a younger brain.

BrainChanging™ is training for life. It is a skill that is within our capacity.

The science of neuroplasticity tells us that our brains are in constant flux. But it does not guide us on how to change our brains, or what to seek. Indeed, neuroplasticity is a double-edged sword. If you are lucky then your brain will change for the better. But, too often, the brain left unattended may lose function and health.

That is where BrainChanging™ comes in. Brainchanging™ is the study of how to change our brains through the application of concepts and principles.
